Jeannette Carol Lappegard was born on July 17, 1949, to Casper and Dorothey (Helgerson) Lappegard. She was selfless in caring for her family and took great pride in being a stay-at-home mom, a role she considered her favorite and most meaningful.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed sewing, watching Days of Our Lives, and anything connected to Mickey Mouse. Beef and cheese nachos from Taco House were her favorite and she was rarely seen without a Pepsi close by. Above all else, Jeannette cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, creating memories she held dear and passing along her love in countless quiet ways.

Jeannette passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Lakeside Lutheran Home in Emmetsburg at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Dylan Brown; her daughter, Tayna Lorenzen; brothers, Bob, Casper, Curt, Roy, Richard, and Timmy; and sisters, Virginia and Dorothey.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Lance) Faulkender of Spencer; sons, Travis (Fawn) Brown of Emmetsburg, Todd Brown of Ruthven, and Terry Jr. Brown of Ruthven; grandchildren, Sydni and Ryonna; Micayla (Caleb), Shaylee (Nick), Cade, Nora and Ellieauna; and Cameron (Anna); great-grandchildren, Lennon, Sunny, Ruby, and Carson; as well as many relatives, and friends.
