CELEBRATION OF LIFE

Spencer, Iowa
Pamela "Pam" Sue Dirks, daughter of Benny and Anna (James) Conatzer, was born on April 27, 1963, in Chouteau, Oklahoma. On November 7, 1987, Pam was united in marriage to Tracy Dirks. Together, they were blessed with two sons.
Pam was a dedicated and hardworking woman who wore many hats throughout her life. She spent nearly 20 years working for Genesis Technologies in Oklahoma, where she truly loved her job and was equally loved by those she worked alongside. During her time there, she served in a variety of roles, from receptionist to manufacturing, always willing to step in wherever she was needed.
Previously while living in Spencer, Pam helped operate Spencer Tile, never shying away from hard work. She wasn't afraid to get down on the floor laying tile and was especially known for taking on the jobs others preferred to avoid-particularly grouting. After returning to Spencer in 2025, she spent several months working as a cook in the Spencer Community Schools kitchen.
Pam had a special love for animals, especially her beloved cats, and found joy in keeping the neighborhood squirrels well fed. She was gifted with her hands and enjoyed a variety of crafts, including crocheting beautiful afghans and doilies, as well as creating decorative ribbon wreaths. Pam appreciated the simple things in life and lived with an easiness that reflected who she was.
Above all, Pam treasured her family. She loved being both the voice of reason and the "silly grandma" to her grandchildren, creating memories they will cherish forever. She also enjoyed relaxing with Hallmark movies.
Pam attended Life Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, for several years. Her faith was evident in the way she loved and cared for those around her. She was always willing to lend a helping hand and had a remarkable gift for encouraging others, especially young people.
Pam passed away on July 20, 2026, at her home in Spencer, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 63. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, David James, in infancy; her grandparents; and several aunts and uncles.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 38 years, Tracy Dirks of Spencer; her two sons, Bill Dirks of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and Derek (Emma) Dirks of Spencer; four beloved grandchildren, Desiree, Kylee, Adalyn, and Norah; her sister, Terri Leach of Pryor, Oklahoma; along with many other relatives and dear friends.
