Warren John Meier , age 74, of Spencer, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

He was born on April 17, 1951, in Tracy, Minnesota, to Warren and Dorothea (Boever) Meier. He grew up in Wabasso, Minnesota, and attended St. Anne’s School until his family moved to Spencer, Iowa. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1969. Following high school, he continued his education in Electrical Engineering in Mankato, Minnesota.

Warren spent nearly 40 years as an electrician and owned his own business, Warren Meier Electric, serving his community with dedication and care. He was a skilled handyman and woodworker and loved tinkering in his garage. Warren also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, holding season tickets for many years. He will be remembered for his hard work, practical skills, and always being able to solve problems.

He is survived by Margie Killmer of Spencer; sons, Chad (Laura) Hugunin of Spencer and Brad (Heather) Killmer of Spencer; granddaughters, Karlee (Levi) Moranville, Ayrial (Colton Berger) Schnell, and Summer Killmer; sister, Joann Sperl of Redwood Falls, Minnesota; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents; mother-and father-in-law, Kay and Irene Hugunin; grandson, Alec Hugunin; brother-in-law, Robert Sperl; sister-in-law, Kim Hugunin; and niece, Noreen Sperl.
