Andrew grew up in Ruthven, IA.  He graduated Ruthven-Ayrshire in 2016 and obtained his Bachelor Degree in business from Briar Cliff in 2020.  He continued his education for Mortuary Science at DMACC.  He met his wife (Kayla) in Nebraska and got married in 2022.  Him and his wife had their first child (George) on March 6, 2024.  In his free time, Andrew loves spending quality time with his family. Andrew is a parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and holds memberships with Spencer Rotary Club and Knights of Columbus. Andrew is excited to further his relationships with the local community.

Kayla grew up in Columbus, Nebraska, and graduated from Columbus Lakeview High School in 2016. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Wayne State College in 2020. Kayla began her teaching career in David City, Nebraska, where she taught fifth grade for two years. After marrying her husband, Andrew, she moved to Iowa and continued teaching fifth grade at Emmetsburg Middle School for three more years. Kayla is looking forward to this new chapter as the office manager at Geelan Funeral Home. She’s passionate about helping others and is excited to connect with families in the area. When she’s not working, Kayla loves spending time with her 15-month-old son, George, and making trips back to Nebraska to visit family.

Marvin Schutter grew up on a farm between Titonka and Woden, Iowa, where his family raised dairy cattle, hogs, chickens, and grew everything from oats to alfalfa. After graduating from Woden-Crystal Lake High School, he went on to The Spencer School of Business in 1985, where he met his wife, Janet. They've lived in Spencer ever since. Marvin has worked in a variety of roles over the years—including 12 years at Stylecraft in Milford, running the Nickel Depot with Janet for nine years, and most recently spending 14 years as a bookkeeper at Asher Motor Company. He’s also held part-time jobs at Pizza Hut, Super 8, AmericInn, and Menards, and managed rental homes with Janet—all giving him opportunities to help people. In his free time, Marvin enjoys biking, hiking, camping, and good conversations with great friends. He’s excited to be part of the team as a funeral director assistant and looks forward to serving families with compassion, faith, and a caring heart.

Tom was born in Parkston, South Dakota, and graduated from Hanson High School in Alexandria, South Dakota. In 1985, he married his wife, Beth, who is originally from Emery, South Dakota. They moved to Spencer, Iowa, in 1988, where they built their life together. Tom is a retired UPS driver, having dedicated 32 years to the company, and Beth is a retired teacher for the deaf. They are proud parents of three children and grandparents to five grandchildren. In retirement, Tom enjoys spending his time hunting, golfing, and riding his Harley. Tom will be a funeral director assistant who will help serve families.
